I spent hours hunting for the perfect villa for our one week stay in Frigiliana, Spain. It’s a place we’ve been to before in a villa and it was one of the best holidays we have ever had. We weren’t sure that we would find a Frigiliana villa this time that would top it, but we did! I wanted a villa with a lovely pool, a BBQ area and amazing views. I found the beautiful Cortijo Jaine and it really did not disappoint. 15 minutes from Frigiliana, the drive to the villa was a little bit strangled but the journey was so worth it for the views you got at this villa. The pool and pool area were gorgeous with gazebo covered sun beds at the end.

The long terrace had amazing views of the town of Frigiliana down to the sea front and Nerja too and featured a seating area and dining table. I loved the silks that were around the villa which fluttered in the wind and gave the villa a really luxury boutique feel I think.
Across the gravel driveway was the fully equipt BBQ area with BBQ, prep area and sink! We had two BBQ’s during our week stay and everything you needed to stoke up the barbie is provided by the villa.

Inside the decor was bright and rustic. On the ground floor was sitting area and dining table, kitchen and one bathroom. Downstairs was another bathroom with rain shower and two bedrooms. For me the inside of the villa was less important as you spend very little time inside but a nice modern bathroom was important and this one was lovely and the shower was great!

My favourite place to sit was on the seating area and read a book. The area was so quiet and with such a lovely view it was the perfect place to sit in the shade. At night we sat here and had a drink and played board games which were in the villa (how rock and roll are we?)

The pool was the highlight of the villa for me. It was big enough for my beautiful I loved just floating around on this for hours. It honestly was the best thing I’ve ever bought and despite my husband mocking me, he also spent a large amount of time floating around on Willamina (yes I named her) too. Word of warning though it did take us about an hour to inflate as we didn’t take a foot pump!! ha ha
I can’t rave about this villa enough. It was such a stunning and quiet place to stay. The only downside to it was the drive. It was a bit of a strangled route to the villa and we did get lost the first time we tried it in the dark, but everything else amazing about this villa kinda outwayed this. We had a brilliant week away and the villa was a really good price too as it was offpeak! We booked through Casitas Select who have loads of stunning Frigiliana villas and were really helpful and easy to deal with.
I have a post coming with sooooo many photos of what we got up to while we were away and a round up of my fave outfits too.
