A few weeks ago I was whisked away to Elstree on the cutest vintage style bus for afternoon tea and a tour around the Laura Ashley Hotel called “The Manor” It was the most wonderful day and the most beautiful hotel. First came the afternoon tea which was delicious and all served on Laura Ashley dinnerware including the pretty Rose Hill china with delicate blue pattern.

We were then given a tour round the hotel. All of the reception spaces and all the rooms are furnished with Laura Ashley furniture and soft furnishings and each bedroom is themed to a colour palette. My favourite was the mauve and cream room with Willow pattern wallpaper.

We ended the day with a glass of fizz on the terrace and a chance for some photos of the very cool chess board centrepiece in the gardens!!

The hotel really was stunning and the rooms had all been so beautifully done, especially the Bridal Suite for example. I mush preferred the rooms in the older section of the building rather than the new wing as they had so much character, but all of it had so much attention to detail.
