A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be given a tour of the new re-vamped Debenhams Oxford Street store thanks to the lovely Annie for taking me along. The lovely Steph and Gemma showed us round so thank you so much to them. The first lovely area we were shown was the new spangly Press Area which was bright and a perfect space for blogger and press events and even possibly big enough for a catwalk!

We were walked through all seven floors, which is a massive increase from previous five floored store. All the floors were modern, bright and airy, including even the basement shopping area. My most favourite parts were the gorgeous modern kitchen style café, with funky brickwork and an amazing array of pastries and cakes. Yum!

I also really loved the shopable displays which can be seen on each floor as you travel up the escalators. These displays are not only there to be viewed from this side but also customers can pick up and purchase the items on the display on the shop floor side. I thought this was so clever, especially effective on the clothing floors where mannequins whole outfits could be picked up and bought from the stand including jewellery and accessories. This saves a lot of hunting round for hours for the necklace you’ve spotted on a display.

Another favourite of mine was the Exclusive to Debenhams Oxford Street store home ware range by Bloomingville. A fab collection of bright graphic design home wares. What I especially liked was that each piece was incredibly reasonably priced, with a cup for example as little as £4. This would let you mix and match pieces and build up a collection. I really hope this home ware comes to my local store very soon.

I also loved some of the lovely fashion displays including the brand new size 16 mannequin (you can see it in the photo wearing the grey fur coat) which I think is fab and did truly show the clothes off in a new way and a way that more stores should think about.

This new Debehams store also has a fabulous Dior beauty counter along with a whole host of amazing beauty brands including Too Faced which I spotted!!

The new store is a genuinely wonderful shopping experience. It looks so beautiful at the moment with all the Christmas displays. Thank you to the lovely Debenhams PR girls for showing us round and I can’t wait to be back in London so I can visit again!
