Top – Primark
Skirt – Charity Shop
Clutch – Accessorize (old)
Jewellery – Mixed inc handmade by me
Nails – Black and glitter by Barbara Daly at Tesco
At the weekend I went out in town for my Best friends Hen Night which I had organised. The dress code was animal print and I really wanted to wear a peplum top. I picked this bargain up at Primark for £8 and it has cute stud details on the shoulders. The skirt was a charity shop bargain too at £3.50 and I wore my black fur coat and my staple black flats.
I decided to take the opportunity to wear a bold lipstick and chose one of the Rimmel Kate Moss matt lipsticks in shade 110 which is an orange toned red. Its a big change for me as I don’t normally wear lipstick. What do you think? I really liked the colour on me. I found it had good staying power but did need several touch ups. The Kate Moss lipsticks do have a scent/taste to them which I cant decide if I like but I do love the matt finish of them.
I also have on my new favourite foundation which is Double Wear by Estee Lauder. I got a sample to test for a possible Wedding day foundation and love it so much I keep wearing it. It has such amazing coverage. It is a tint bit light for me this shade as she matched the colour to balance my face to my neck which is lighter. I quite like a paler look for Winter but by my wedding next year I hope to use a darker shade as I may have a cheeky light spray tan to colour my neck a bit. Will be very careful not to look orange on my wedding day mind and not to get
Two 2’s for all you Friends fans.
I also used my other new favourite makeup item which is the MUA Brow kit. its only £3 in Superdrug (if you can find it!) and is my first foray into powdered brows. I’m really happy with it for the price. It does crumble quite a bit so I think I’ll be buying a more expensive one next time and to use for my wedding. But not bad for a first brow buy.

The hen do was so much fun. Lots of silly hen games but nothing too risky or outlandish as I’m not a big fan of the trend of Hen Do’s involving collecting mens pants or willy straws and all that rubbish. As you can imagine I’m hoping my hen do wont involve any of that stuff either. I’d like to do something a bit different so any suggestions let me know? would love some ideas.
Today I am taking part in an online hangout with
Swimwear 365 and Google +
The hangout is being run by Helen Boyle the Celebrity stylist and me and 8 other bloggers are taking part. The Hangout will involve advice on AW swimwear and hints and tips for key shapes etc for SS13 as well as a preview of new swimwear too. We have the opportunity to ask questions live and swill take part via webcam. I’m so excited and nervous to take part and there are several of my Twitter buddies taking part too. The video of the hangout will be available online to watch and I’ll do another post with a link to it when its up.
Now I need to decide what to wear for my online debut!
Cant wait to tell you all about it x
