Golden Globes 2012 – Recreate Celeb Fashion

I wrote a post a long time ago about recreating celeb style using High Street and Vintage and its one of my most read posts. See the Recreate Celeb Fashion post here In the follow up to the Golden Globes I thought I’d do a quick post on how to recreate some of the looks seen this year on the red carpet. I also have thrown in the odd Vintage item too just for good measure.

They’re all maxi dresses and its a style of dress I think anyone can wear and they can be accessorised to be dressed up or dressed down. They also work so well for Summer AND Winter!!

So here’s the looks.

Angelina Jolie

Her dress was the talk of the town and although you can’t buy an exact copy of her Atelier Versace dress, you can work the colour pop technique by wearing a great neutral dress and accessorising with a bright red handbag!

John Lewis

*Vintage Tip – try scouring your local charity or vintage shops for a bright coloured bag to accessorise your look.

Emma Stone

Her Lanvin dress was one of my favourites. To get this look you dont need the plunging neckline, just a great maxi in a rich berry colour.

In Love With Fashion £48
*Vintage tip – pick up a vintage belt/buckle to accessorise the look.

Nicole Ritchie

Her Julien Macdonald dress was beautifully accessorised with stacked bangles.
Jane Norman £28 (Sale)

*Vintage Tip try searching bootsales for a mix of bangles to stack up.

Heidi Klum

Her nude maxi and Turquoise statement necklace were a great combo and a bit different for the Golden Globes usual sea of diamonds.
Try a simple nude maxi with your own statement necklace.
AX Paris £35

*Vintage tip – find your own Vintage statement necklace online or at a Vintage market

Hope you enjoyed the recreate post.
